The Old Folks Home

Yeah but there is the extra yum factor with bacon!
Bacon is very good!

I will have some with waffles tomorrow for breakfast. Maybe I will cook extra for grilled cheese and bacon for lunch

Gusts up to 60 mph last night and today, there are at least 6 trees down we know of, one would have hit my truck if i parked where i usually do!

I hope the cleanup goes well!
Hubby went out there but i am really nervous because they wind is blowing and howling and the trees are swaying like crazy. Some of the trees came up by the roots, and some just snapped off. He says there is one down across guinea lane where i drive the Mule.

Definitely watch for falling trees! It is bad to have one fall on a person.

Call me strange... I asked for numbing but not unconscious... They set up the monitor so I could watch and see what the doc saw. They saw and scooped one polyp, nothing to worry about. Felt a little pressure and took about 5 minutes.
My last visit of that type was a sigmoidoscopy. No drugs because I had no one to drive me home. There were several VERY uncomfortable times, they use air pressure to open the colon. I guess the doctor wasn't used to concerning himself with how much pressure and how fast he progressed.

 Was it good fortune or planning that had the truck in a different place?

Morning all.

Nice weather here, Very windy yesterday but it has calmed down considerably and the sun is out.

Colonoscopy....gonna have to catch me, tackle me, hog tie me and use a tranquilizing dart in order to subdue me. I'm not saying they do not supply a service and don't find problems. I know over three people who have either wound up in ICU, the hospital, a nursing home or dead from undergoing a colonoscopy-enough to be wary of them and suspicious of the skill of the doctor who does them.

Cap, stay safe. Look at all the firewood! We have a big tree down in our timber. We call it firewood from heaven as we don't have to down the tree-the most dangerous part of harvesting wood.

Made a big decision today. No garden this year. It was a painful decision to make but after two weeks of near crippling back pain that has had me living on muscle relaxers and pain meds, I decided that I just cannot risk doing the weeding and hoeing that takes so much bending and straightening.

My plan is to plant some squash and pumpkins. Gonna try some container planting. Maybe plant one or two tomato plants, but that will be it for this year. Our neighbor suggested planting only what I really enjoyed and down scale and they were wise words from a young woman.

I woke up this morning with minimal discomfort and haven't had to take any medication for pain or muscle spasms. It feels so good not to be in pain and be able to walk straight without being hunched over. So I'm done fighting it. I see the doctor in two weeks and still plan to see a rheumatologist this summer. Hopefully next year will be better but this year.....not going to risk it.
