The Old Folks Home

I sent the dog out to pee last night. About 2 minutes later she comes back in the door with...

:hugs:lau She is a hound dog and she is doing what comes natural for her.
Maybe you could teach her hide and seek with some toys or food.
My sister taught her Rottie how to "Seek" hidden items. Always something different.
But the dog had to find and track her scent to find the hidden items.Sometimes it was her dh that had hid items. So the dog never knew what or who she was tracking till she looked. But Andrea the Rottie was very good at the game and she loved it.
Might be worth a shot to keep the old bones out of the house.

This is the dishwasher they're bringing, and hooking up. I was going to get a cheaper dishwasher, but this one was on sale. They included free delivery AND installation. By the time they added the installation fee into the price of the cheaper one, it was close enough in price to be able to upgrade.

chicka, I know you are going to be so happy with your new kitchen. I too would keep the old sink, and maybe some of the cabinets to put outside. That type sink is good for cleaning fish, gardening stuff, and chicken related things outside.

Dd #2 called this morning. She works for HSN, and the manager's special was their Joy Mangano towel sets. The normal price for them is $59.99, and they dropped them to $19.99. I got a couple sets before, when they did that. They're good thick towels, bleach and stain resistant, and the set includes a lot of things. With Dd's employee discount, I got them for a bit lower price. Good towels have gotten expensive. Other than the ones I got last time, all my towels are pretty old. Not thin, or threadbare yet, but really faded out. I got 3 sets for me, and one for my cousin. She'll reimburse me. I also got her a bathrobe that matches her towel set, as a gift from me.
That is a very good deal!

It is nice of you to help out your Cousin

Morning everyone. Sitting here drinking coffee and looking at the news on the internet. I found this article and wanted to share it with you.

Kind of amusing, reading about how much these peeps are paying for their chicken coops/runs/private chicken chefs etc. I think everything that I have invested in my birds' accommodations rounds out to about 2-3 hundred dollars. Most of the building materials to do the shed were gifted. The expense came with a couple of kennel panels and the wood to create a wall in the shed.

Chicka, so happy for you. Aren't we women funny creatures, though. We get excited and happy over the darnedest things. New appliances, our hens laying their first eggs, etc.

SGC, that pup is growing like a weed. Be glad they are small bones. Ours drag in old cow leg bones that they find in the woods. Try stubbing your toe on one of those in the middle of the night.

We replaced our dishwasher in December. Since then we have used less water than the year before. Who knew old dishwashers used that much more water?
