My folks have been in Kingsland since '74. Both brothers graduated from Llano HS: one still lives in Kingsland.
I remember you saying you had family in the Llano area. Very different from where you are now!

Cap doesn't somebody breed birds near by where you live? You might want to check your state's DEPT of AG site for local breeders you could contact. Our site for Missouri looks like this: http://agriculture.mo.gov/animals/pdf/poultry_yearbook.pdf

I would think that some breeder close by would be able to help you out this time of year. I imagine that little one is terrified. Poor baby.

There doesn't seem to be anyone with quail for sale within an hours drive that i have been able to find. Believe me, i have been looking. Closest person i know of will have chicks hatching soon. Maybe i could talk him out of a couple adults if i tell him Solo's sad story.
