Penny they don't give you a choice as to when they give you the update. At least they didn't us! And both of our computers crashed. I had to have the Geek Squad fix them and they could only restore them to factory settings to get them to work.
I have no idea why. But I went back to Windows 7 once and Microsoft gave me back 10!
