The Old Folks Home

Morning everyone.

The big difference between wild parsnip and Queen Ann's lace is that the wild parsnip will grow really tall here, like 6 foot. Queen Ann's is shorter. And the Parsnip has yellow flowers. The good one, white.

Sometime after I got it (yeah, found out really hard that you need to keep the affected area out of the sun or it will come back.) I saw a farm report show that featured it as an undesirable weed at field edges and urged farmers to spray for it.

The blisters are weird also as they turn an ugly dark color.

I have a book on edible plants and they talk about digging up the wild parsnip and eating the roots, just like regular parsnip. Frankly I have no desire to try it. After seeing what it can do to skin, I'd have to be pretty darn hungry to eat it.

@CapricornFarm at least you didn't mistakenly use it as toilet paper. I remember my mom telling me about a friend that did that. Yeah, it was pretty bad.

With poison Ivy, you need to scrub with a strong soap that will get rid of the oil. I use Dawn Dish Soap when I think I've been any where near the nasty stuff. It' works pretty well to break down oils and it's gentle on your skin.

When I was a kid mom would give me powdered laundry soap to use. I remember once scrubbing down after getting into poison Ivy while picking blackberries. Forgot to scrub the backs of my legs. I was so miserable. Never made that mistake again.

Hi Back from sleep study at six am.;/.. came away with a full face mask.. worked better for me.

Bipap too was so much better. I slept all night and didnt have to get up to Pee. Great dreams too. Cant wait for the analysis and to get my machine.

Oh and they gave me the mask that I slept in.

Today is busy. First psychologist in one town then Radiation in another town. Wont be free till after I am done with that.

OH and Today must be a nexus or something. Kid has a Job interview for the Midway Nautical museaum... He is so excited.
A paid spot to work with history... and the ability to meet and greet just about everyone that comes on board.

Hes very familiar with this kind of position having worked as a Volunteer at The Birch Aquarium for the past five years.

Ok off to make grandmas breakfast... then a shower to wash the electrode goo out of my hair.
