The Old Folks Home

Dad always made the cabbage wrapped meat ones. I always peeled off the cabbage. I probably have not had pigs in a blanket since the 70s. Don't really miss them. I did buy ground bison to try for supper tomorrow, and corned beef for later.
We have a bison farm near us that sells meat local. Really would like to get a big ole roast someday for Christmas.

And then the dang fool companies have "same great product, new packaging" :he:he:he:he

WHY???? I KNOW what I'm looking for, is your graphic design team bored or something?? Pepperidge Farm is changing some of their bread bags. SO important that they are including images of the great new format inside the old. And I had to look hard to see what was changing. At least with them I won't have a problem finding what I want. Still having trouble with the Nature's Path Pumpkin Raisin Crunch. DW eats that 3-4 times a week.

Sounds like a busy day @chickadoodles.

my problem is when they rearrange the store! :rant I will end up standing at a spot... staring at plastic cups for like 10 minutes wondering why they aren't paper plates. I KNOW the paper plates are supposed to be there..... but they aren't there... been there for 10 years.... but now they aren't there... :he

Actually , went shopping 2 days back.... that was when I couldn't find the paper plates ..... then I needed to buy cheese.... there was no grated cheese. None. So I looked for the low cost block cheese... none. Just blank spaces. They had fancy expensive cheese...but I didn't want that. Finally found a moderately priced 2.5 pound block still on the shelf. Then I wanted some meat... fresh meat too spendy... looked at refridgerated meat.. I wasn't going to buy bacon... but did notice that there was very little there. They still had the decently priced multi pound sausage. .. bought that. I asked at check out if the barge hadn't come in.... turns out the manager was on vacation and the fill in wasn't doing a good job on the ordering in food.

I HATE that!!!!! Must be getting old. Don't like to hunt through the store looking for things I USED to know how to find.

Man what a way to kill a business. Though I guess if there isn't much competition it isn't a problem except for the customers. But then who cares about them?
