The Old Folks Home

@penny1960. You and I are alike, accidents looking for a place to happen, LOL.

I have Corell ware dishes and I tell ya, while those things resist breaking, they shatter in a most admirable way and I have cut myself more than once on the shards.Take care.

I've taken it easy today. Think I picked up another stomach bug. Thought it was my IBS at first but usually that hits and runs, no pun intended. This has hung around most of the day. I've just been queazy, crampy, no energy and all the other pleasant stuff. I did get out to do some weeding but almost wound up laying down in the grass and taking a nap so I packed up and came inside.

There is a little rabbit running around my bantam pen. Cute little devil. The bantams don't seem to mind its presence but every time the large birds get a glimpse of it they go nutz.

Not much else going on here today. It stormed here this morning and stayed cool until the sun came out and then it just got steamy.

I have been taking the winterizing plywood off hutch doors, the quail condos, and rolling up the tarps on the hoop coop. Just plain hot and humid out there! 96°F, add heat index= way too hot. Went shopping and bought 2 box fans, one for the barn and one for my workshop. Its down to 86° now, at 6:42. The rain we were supposed to get yesterday just ended up as sprinkles so i watered this morning. I hope it cools off soon!

Grandma was six foot tall on my dads side.... grandpa was five foot seven. All the kids were six foot... Four sisters and my dad
All were alcaholics and fun loving people.... Who always had an entourage of friends where ever they went.

Moms Family Is a bunch of fruit loops....some borderline dangerous if the stories I over heard are true. Especially the men folk... The women smiling sweet sociopaths or at the very least passive aggressive.

I am so glad I take after my dad.... in some ways.... and the good parts of my mom in other ways.

I was always told I was a throw back... looked just like my dad's dad and his family. ...I have his hair and his eyebrows, and face shape .... and height. (short)

But my mom actually looks a lot like my dad's dad.... :idunno ...My baby sister looks like my dad.

I was a bit concerned that you might have done a gender reveal with this post, but then since girls in your family seem to look like males, and kinda vice versa, maybe not. Perhaps it just further confused the whole issue. :barnie:idunno:duc:oops:
