DS#1's SO painted a portrait of my Icelandic cock, Audun, for me. It was a total surprise. She did it from pictures I and my DD had sent (and a feather my DD had collected on a visit here). I think she is very talented but, like you, does not do work that she would be paid to do. An acquaintance wanted her to paint a picture of her dog from a photo. She said it was the worst time of her life, trying to satisfy someone who didn't see the dog the way she saw it. She was offered quite a bit of money for a painting she did for my son of a pair of turkeys but she told the man she didn't want to do a second painting and he asked her just to sell him the one she was making for my son. She told him she could not. It was created for my son...that the motivation for creating it was not money. I understand where you are coming from because she explained it to me.

I found this tonight. Hope I don't get in the bad graces of the powers that be but two years ago I decided I was going to paint a mural on the side of my rooster coop. I came up with this:

Here is the almost finished product.

Somewhere I have the finished product but I've always liked the BYC logo and adapted it for the mural.

Impressive tallent! Wish I could get a something or other on the side of my barn.

@NotAFarm, the finished mural has an RC pilot on the hillside and what you are seeing in the cloud is the Delta wing RC that the pilot is flying. I wanted to represent our hobbies. Guess I need to add a HAM radio tower, LOL.

I love the painting of the Islandic Rooster. Very talented artist. Very realistic. What medium did they use?
