Makes me want to go out and hug our 20 acres of timber!

We split with a maul until we retired and were here 7 days a week. The last year I threw my shoulder out and DH also has shoulder trouble. When we calculated how much wood we were going to need to get us through an average winter we knew a splitter was the only way to go.

I was wondering what I was going to do with all my extra spare time. Not pictured: is a cord and a half of wood that's already seasoned that I have to move and restack in the house before I can stack this stuff outside to season for the last half of this winter and next winter. Got about two-thirds of that done this evening before my body said no more.

I tried to talk hubby into a splitter and he says he would rather do it. Go figure!
