We had one dog that was thief, a "pack dog," of sorts. Anything she found she dumped under the dining room table. If she found any dog toys, that's where she put them. She never played with dog toys. She loved taking uncooked spaghetti sticks under there and trying to bite into smaller pieces. She would make a lot of unhappy faces and then just abandon them there. She obviously thought we couldn't see under the table- ha.

Her mother ignored toys completely, the only thing she would take was a rawhide chewy.

Meanwhile her father who loved toys and balls, etc. would sneak into the house ,rush to claim anything under the dining room table and go back to the kennel.

@Beer can, agree 100% about elm. It burns hot. We had a friend give us some cured elm to burn that he wanted to get rid of. It wasn't all that heavy and we thought it would be good for getting a fire going. Man did it burn hot.

We do have a few American Elms in the timber but what we like to harvest even though it is a pain in the butt to deal with is Honey Locust. If you can fight your way through the 4 inch spike thorns they produce, it is worth the effort. That stuff burns hot and long. We try to keep some rounds about 8 inches across on hand during the winter to burn on really cold nights.

The stuff we have here that is gnarly and twisted is the shag bark hickory. Nasty stuff to split even with a splitter. Ours a 28 ton with a Honda motor and it's never been stopped by any wood, although the shag bark hickory can make the hydraulics double down and moan with the effort.

Mostly we burn oak and hickory with the occasional poplar and elm thrown in as we thin out our timber. Nothing beats cured aged oak when it comes to keeping warm.

He really does not need to with 4 crushed disks. And after they fuse them he probably won't be able to.

Yes! She has gone from wheel chair to walker. She can lift her legs and wiggle her toes now.

She was paralyzed for 9 weeks

Have no worries or fear Diva... I'm pretty sure that along with most of us here, she's old enough to point out the finer points that may have been missed with said details... Just a guess.
