I can see a coyote doing that much damage.
The only thing chicken wire is good for IMHO is enternal runs and dividers.

Hello everyone, IDK if this belongs here, but here we go.. Elizabeth has not gotten out of the roost since last night.. I first noticed this morning, she was not out, and was not out yet when I left the house around 10:00 am, I just got home about 20-25 mins ago.. I checked on her but she didn't seem happy at all to see me there..
What's up?
Anyone know?
I opened the roost and took her out, she jumped out of my hands and when she landed on the ground she took a giant dump.. She is out now eating, but her feathers are ruffled..
She's back in the roost, not looking good..![]()

Oh no, how did that happen? Hugs.Something just took half of my flock!
Is there a top on the run? Do you use chicken wire?I don’t know! I was woken up by the sounds of a chicken squawking and ran outside and half of my flock was missing. The door to the run was still closed. My roosts are pretty high. There were some feathers in the run and some in the yard, but the chickens were gone. I could hear them screaming out in the woods but I couldn’t get to them. Five gone. Including my Boo Boo who was sitting on eggs
