The Old Folks Home

Check out those milk melon seeds on eBay and Amazon, look like women's breasts
From what I read on another site they are fake, an artist made them out of silicon, and all those selling the seeds use pics of his 'art'
Wonder what kind of seeds you get if there is no such plant?

I saw pictures of those! Are they still for sale?

Hello everyone, IDK if this belongs here, but here we go.. Elizabeth has not gotten out of the roost since last night.. I first noticed this morning, she was not out, and was not out yet when I left the house around 10:00 am, I just got home about 20-25 mins ago.. I checked on her but she didn't seem happy at all to see me there..
What's up?
Anyone know?

I opened the roost and took her out, she jumped out of my hands and when she landed on the ground she took a giant dump.. She is out now eating, but her feathers are ruffled..

She's back in the roost, not looking good.. :hmm:rolleyes:

I'm gonna guess she is broody.. I've checked her out real good, even looked for snake bites, nothing.. This morning I took her out of the roost, she got ruffled up, smh.. She ate and went right back in, lol

dang the picture doesnt show up.....

there
That's a nice rig

Something just took half of my flock!

Wow that is so sad!! Bigger predators can tear chicken wire up easily. My sister recently lost several hens to a raccoon that got in through between 2 layers of chicken wire. I would suggest beefing up the defenses all around with hardware cloth, to at least 3' above the ground. You can use cage fasteners called hog staples to secure the fences together, overlap them at least 6 inches and secure both the top and bottom. Zip ties will work too, but are not as strong. So glad you got out there before they all were lost.

I don’t know! I was woken up by the sounds of a chicken squawking and ran outside and half of my flock was missing. The door to the run was still closed. My roosts are pretty high. There were some feathers in the run and some in the yard, but the chickens were gone. I could hear them screaming out in the woods but I couldn’t get to them. Five gone. Including my Boo Boo who was sitting on eggs
Is there a top on the run? Do you use chicken wire?
