Interesting that you know them as Garbonzo beans. That is what my grandmother (born in Spain) called them. Others know them as chick peas. The flour is great for making gluten free onion rings.

In Puerto Rico they are two diff things, I think chick peas are called 'gandules', and garbanzo, same word.. Both delicious..

I think I like all foods, and I like to experiment with foods I've never eaten.. The exception would be when I'm really hungry, I'm not experimenting then, I just go for the Big Mc or Whopper.. Oh, and I just love the triple bacon burger and chilly from Wendy's.. I'm out a lot, so too much junk food, disgusting I know, but I'm good with it..

I have four daughters, one is still single and at home, 27, one is divorced and is back home, 36.. They other two are still married, 31 & 36, but their husbands don't know, can't or just won't do anything around the house, so they call dad or papa (one of them calls me papa)..

I have five grandchildren, 4, 6, 10, 11, 11.. The middle one, Sandy, is the only granddaughter, so you just she is spoiled as spoiled can be.. She's got papa's number, lol..

Root Beer cooked ham? Yummo! Nothing ethnic in the Ham Radio group. I'm probably as close as ethnic as it gets with my Native American and Pennsylvania Duetch genetics.

My church back in IL was predominately German and man the food was to die for when they had pot lucks. German potato salad which if made right is not vinigery and sour. Not so much ethnic, but pecan pie, German Springerly and Lebkuchen cookies. German style noodles......making myself hungry. Got on the scales this morning and discovered I've lost a total of 13 pounds so far. Only 17 more to go!

Not doing much today keeping my right foot propped up. My foot and ankle is full of fluid. I took a lasix this morning
It should be gone by morning.

SCG that quilt is amazing.

Chickadoodles, diuretics work best for heart problems if they are taken before fluid retention occurs. Of course your doctor will give you the best advice for you. Many people don't like taking them due to the increased trips to the bathroom, but it is a small price to pay.

Before I moved to the UP we has deer and turkeys all around. Some mornings I would go outside and there would be deer tracks in the snow outside the windows, where they were peeking in. I really miss having turkeys around, they were very cool neighbors.
