The Old Folks Home

No rocking chair here just yet. I only have to curl up on the sofa after lunch to doze (or fall asleep!) ready for the evening feeding routine. Betty looks very proud of her new family, what a clever girl.

Late but Welcome to the old folks some of us like to toter about

Maybe he is farsighted so the change in near focus doesn't matter? In any case I bet they have a good time. Let's see:
Kid 1 in TX, kids 3&4 at camp. That leaves just 2 kids to do all the work!
sadly kid 2 is also at camp as a councilor :hit

Only kid at home is youngest, kid 5.

Youngest isn't as beefy as the rest of them... and.... achem.... he is the baby  so isn't as used to manning up (he just turned 10)

So WOWSERS I just can't get near the amount of work out of him that I would like. :he house is a pigsty!

sadly nope... it is his distance vision that is going....

he must still guess well... because so far his aim is still good. :fl

Hey Al, glad to hear the boys are off having a great time while they leave you to live in mild squalor... Guess the youngest gets a "pass" till he's a little older and can man up. Least he has some excellent teachers who have gone before him.

SCG, so sorry you're dealing with a few of the (many?) down sides to children... Look at the bright side, it's only temporary... right? :fl Hope you stay healthy and don't contract whatever seems to be eating the kids up.

neighbor texts me... says I just grabbed your ladder for a week

I text back, no problem, unless it is the ladder to my hay loft... I will probably need to grab a bale by Sunday

he texts back.... yeah, it is the ladder to your hay loft

I told him if he got down a couple of bales... he could then have it for a week.... but I kinda need hay.... which is why I have..... a hay loft.

And it is 12 feet up... so no jumping up... and blasted in-law parked his boat on the drive to my barn... so no driving up to the hay loft and using a vehicle as a ladder.... :rant

Nice Job! Now you are getting the neighbor to do work for you!
