Good morning everyone enjoy your day:love

It didn't rain here yesterday. That's a big deal here this year. I can count on my left hand the number of days it has not rained in the past two months. https://www.wfla.com/weather/may-rainfall-records-shattered-in-some-tampa-bay-areas/1211032086
The last time it rained like this, and the ground stayed soggy for so long, the roots on the big oak trees were not as securely anchored into the ground. When hurricane season hit, little gusts of wind were uprooting the big trees, and blowing them over. There were uprooted trees everywhere. I'm hoping it dries up some, before hurricane season begins.

Good morning, old folks. Gloomy day today, rain is forecast. I hope it misses DH on his drive to NS. I am going to miss him.
I'm betting he'll see some rain given the distance. Tell him to wave in the general direction of @lazy gardener and @superchemicalgirl as he drives through Maine.

before hurricane season begins.
Got news for you, hurricane season started June 1. They just haven't gotten to you yet and hopefully they will give you a pass this year!

People that own property outside of the city, are having drain field problems, and driveway issues. Keeping the grass mowed is not easy, and it grows so fast with all this rain. Mosquitoes are a big issue too. It's wreaking havoc on pools as well. BUT it is keeping the temperatures down, and the water table up.

bruce, hurricane season officially started, but we don't usually see much activity until Aug. and Sept. Yes, there are exceptions to that, but as a general rule, we get actual activity a bit later in the hurricane season. Which reminds me, I need to restock some of our supplies. I'm working on school supplies for the grands now. School supplies, even on sale, are costly for 2 kids.
