The Old Folks Home

Nope no logging wench.
I asked about a wInch :lau. Since you don't have a purchased logging wench, I guess YOU are the logging wench ;)

So what kind of tractor did you wind up getting. You DID get 4 wheel drive I hope.
Mahindra 1533. Not nearly as big as the sexy tractor Misty posted. FEL, forks (both skidsteer attach), backhoe, post hole digger, 6' rake. Ordered a 5' flail mower but will see it this year only if someone already booked for their Sept deliveries bails.

Perchie try not to stress. :hugs

Going to the doc today to see what this lump is on my throat.

when I came down with graves do believe the thyroid sits higher to the throat shaped like a butterfly with part on each side there are glands where yours is showing I pray all is well either way

Sounds like just about the right size having our 3/4 an acre never saw the need for a tractor a good riding mower does it all along with the kids side by side that has a dump bed on it

@bruceha2000, wench winch tomato tomato, but yeah, guess when you think about it logging wench would fit the job description since my job is to chain up the logs and attach them to the tractors pulling hooks.

It's amazing the workout you can get from hauling around 20 feet of log chain that weighs around 30 pounds. Saggy upper arms that sway when I move them? Not on this logging wench!;)

Farm work is hard! But I do not think it is the type of workout that increases longevity....

That depends on how hard you work, Ron. We definitely think we are in better shape retired than we were working, even though we were riding our bikes to work every day, farm work is an upper body work out that we don't get riding bicycles.

Still, we do miss our bike rides. No safe roads to ride here. No shoulders, side roads gravel. We do some mountain bike riding when we can but have pretty much given up road riding.

Bicycle riding is dangerous in woodland too. Being a pedestrian is more dangerous though. A traffic study found more dying as pedestrians hit by cars than on bicycles. We have several a year killed here.
