The Old Folks Home

Sorry for the loss of your chicken.

Hope the lump turns out to be nothing serious, with an easy fix.

A gorilla cart, with the bigger tires, will help pull a lot of feed, and free up your hands. Even better if you have a riding mower, or small tractor to pull it between the pens. I don't feed that way, but use ours like that to haul the feed out to the "tack room" section of the coop.

I am a bit achy today. Over the front doorway, and one of the bedroom windows, there are arch windows. The afternoon sun comes streaming through them, and it's annoying. I've debated on how to handle the problem. I really didn't want to put the pleated shades up there, but figured that is how I would have to go. Well, I got to looking at window films. They have some that the glass looks like frosted glass, so they diffuse the sun, but don't completely block the light. I was hesitant, because I have a friend that put the stained glass pattern on her windows, and it looked tacky. I got some of it, and yesterday did both arches. It's not too difficult, but I had to twist, and turn into some awkward, or uncomfortable positions for awhile, to get each panel measured, cut, applied, and trimmed up. My body just doesn't want to twist, and turn that way for any duration anymore without complaining about it. BTW, the frosted film looks really good. It's up high enough you can't really see it up close to tell it's not really frosted glass, and it's not a focal point in the room, otherwise I would not recommend it.

Dr. did blood work they will call me with results and set appt for ultrasound on my lump this week.
He sent me to ear to get ultrasound of my right leg to see if a blood cot was causing my right foot to still be swollen like a football. No clot just fluid. He gave me a refill of lassix.
He said its my thyroid but have to wait for test results to see what to do.
:hugs I am sorry you had had to spend the day at the clinic!

I hope the test come out ok and the swelling goes down

Thanks Ron.
Dr. Also said he was going to run an A1c test cuz NY sugar was high. Other Dr's have told me that several times.
I ordered a glucose test kit off Amazon to check it regularly to see how it goes. If it stays high I will go back and see what they suggest.
