Same here. The ledge that forms the edge and at least some part of the bottom of the pond behind the barn is sedimentary but there are all sorts of other stones everywhere that are likely glacial offerings.

Ron the California fires are horrible. I sure hope they can get them out soon.
The Ranch fire in the Mendocino forest is burning close to where we have been since 1974. Stony Creek is where we go to in the Spring to get Lady Bugs.
I sure hope they can get them out soon. Between fire breaks, water, and chemicals, it would be nice if they got them contained quickly.

Pea gravel does not actually make a good driveway surface. The stones are too round to lock together like regular gravel, and just get squished out to the sides. Crushed stone works better, and Quarry Process is also really good.

For holes in Texas Hill County I use a heavy metal rod to break up the rock...layer by layer .... and work down that way. Almost impossible to find a spot without rock.

There was an article today about the dangers of the ash. I have not had any get on me yet but it sounds like it can really hurt your skin and lungs.
I guess purple on the map signifies exceptionally poor quality?
