The Old Folks Home

Our thermometer is showing 94 right now. I was out repairing bantam damage most of the morning. The little heathens had damaged a feeder and torn their ramp down. I put it up using metal L brackets earlier in the spring. Yep, you guessed it. They snapped them in half. So I made a heavier one and screwed it back together.

I hate to hear that about Misty's husband. That poor man has been fighting the good fight for some time now. @MrsMistyReal, if you are around. Hugs and prayers.:hugs

We are going to Branbury.
And yes, you can expect to pay between 10 and 40k for a long arm. My first sewing machine was 80$, then I upgraded to a 200$ machine, then a $1000. Having a hard time making this leap.
I found about three on Craigs list here...

https://sandiego.craigslist.org/search/sss?query=quilting+machine

Ranging in price from 13 K to 400 for a frame without a machine....

Lots of quilting services though.

IF you see something interesting let me know.

@speckledhen said this about sewing machines (from FB - I'll take it down if you want me to Cyn)

Phenomenal idea. Local craigslist here has none but there's 2 in NH. on my way down to vermont on friday there's a sewing shop that i'm going to hit up. I know Juki just released that they're stopping production of their QVP and starting a new long arm line. I might be able to get a good deal on the floor model there, too.
Thanks, guys.
