If the doctors office doesn't get my Rx called in, i am not going to be happy. I checked with the pharmacy around 5:30 and they had nothing. Idk why they are so stingy with refills.

We are blessed to have Tricare .. DH is retired military. Best ins. around. We get our meds that we take on a daily basis through the mail. Express Scrpts. They automatically send 3 months worth. They always send it early too, so we are always ahead on them.

There is a new one out that is not gallons of goop to drink but Dr.s are slow to change sadly.

That's cool. I think I added the powder to a sport drink instead of water, taste wasn't bad.

And you want to make sure your bathroom is well-stocked with TP.

I was going to have a colonoscopy this month. Use called and told me they would send me my 5 day packet to do before coming in. ?? Said it's much easier than the old way. Then, I get a call from the dr. that dies them, says, I'm not due until next year. Whoot. Wasn't sure how it would go doing this now with the way I've been feeling. Glad its next year.

I do the same not worth it with the ages and what could be's I have a appointment on the 12 double check the pneumonia thing sure it is gone but want him to know it happened may call them save the trip but need the thyroid screen so have that done then also

If it's methotrexate there's a safety initiative against giving you more than a small amount.

This is just an excerpt from PharmacyTimes:

• Have pharmacists conduct a prospective drug utilization review before dispensing oral methotrexate. If the indication is not included, community pharmacists should speak directly with the prescriber to determine the reason for the use of methotrexate, verify the proper dosing schedule, and recommend appropriate monitoring of the patient.
• Consider adding a label to the shelf where methotrexate is stored that reads, "METHOTREXATE is almost ALWAYS a WEEKLY dose—If the prescription reads DAILY, DOUBLECHECK!"
• Due to the toxicity of methotrexate, limit the quantity of medication dispensed to a 1-month supply, whenever possible.
• Dispense the drug as a dose pack (eg, Rheumatrex from Stada Pharmaceuticals), which helps reinforce the weekly dosing schedule.

Even if the insurance only pays one month at a time, the Dr. can order it with a couple refills. That way, you only get it once a month, but don't have the hassle of waiting on the doctor's office every month.

Yes, that's how I do one my meds...3 refills. Then back to the dr.
