The Old Folks Home

Tonight i made nest box #4 , for my double coop. The other 3 are already installed. And i put on 2 shutters today, one after dark.

Going to town tomorrow with hubby. Hope everyone has a great day!

These nest boxes are made to fit between the studs. Saves floor space and i can collect eggs outside the coop without bending over.

I keep a grabit to bring the eggs out the upper ones are easy as I have 3 stacked on the
the top with plywood to support the two on the bottom

Are you somewhere safe Bunny???

I surely hope so. We are at home. We are far enough from the ocean and rivers not to be at risk from storm surge or river flooding, so the only real danger here is from things like wind-blown debris and falling trees. Pretty rowdy out there right now. The power keeps flickering. The experts still don't know if the beastly thing is going to run right over us or barely brush past (at 11:00 it was at 34.0 N 76.8 W, and we are 34.2 N 77.8 W), but at a forward speed of 5 mph, it's going to take a heck of a long time to do either one. I have a feeling it's going to be a long night. And day. And maybe another night and day. . . .
