The Old Folks Home

Actually it's my friend's husband. Just got word that they have transferred him to ICU. He's having a tough time and so is she. Daughter called us today sobbing. Feel so bad for them.

Yes, knowing what is going on is half the battle. I told DH that I can deal with this and I can. I 'm just glad to have a diagnosis pinned on it after all of these years. Thanks clue.

On a brighter note, on the drive home saw that one of our Amish neighbors has a flock of guineas roaming around. I looked at them and said...Hatching eggs! Spring project! Micro gonna have herself some Guineas!

Sleepy Blooie checking in from Butte, Mt. Decided to leave yesterday since it’s an 11 hour drive for us and the formal banquet starts today at 6:00. My options were to leave a day early or drive in my formal so I’d be ready on time.
I think you made the right choice!

They don't want to pay two people for the same time. I think a bigger problem is that nobody at that center is certified for C.P.R. . Everyone at our center is...plus three are trained and certified for the use of a defibrillator .
That and either they didn't see him hugging the wall or ... they ignored it. And they didn't notice that he hadn't left when he should have if all was well. Of course we don't know if immediate CPR would have saved him.

I'm okay with this......well not really but what the h**l can you do but dig your heels in hope for the best?
Yep. Dig in Micro, we know you can do it, you have been for years. :hugs

Join a few of us with the triple type of arthritis :he makes life a pot shot but stubborn will get us through :wee
I feel blessed that I only have one type of arthritis....Unless I have psoriatic arthritis! I do have psoriasis

Too true. I found out today that his left leg was giving him a lot of trouble yesterday morning. A blockage could slow the blood flow down enough to starve the heart of oxygen. Poor guy....he had a slow motion heart attack. I have to be on guard... I have had circulation problems in my left leg before......
