I have a great-aunt that had three girls, first one is Cinnamon, second is Kandy, third she wanted to name Apple. My great-uncle put his foot down and they named her Samantha.

My mother named my older sister Jackie(Jacqueline) after an old boyfriend , not her husband. 'Nuf sed.

And I've seen some horror show names in my line of work but not able to comment on them.

I used to be an OB nurse. Some of the names that people came up with were frankly amazing. I would look at them, shake my head and swear that their kid was going to hate their parents when they realized what they'd done to them.

Many parents, when naming their child, don't seem to realize the child will grow up. Who wants an attorney named Muffy Davis? Or going before Judge Cinnamon Jones, or Judge Sunshine Harris? Or having a surgeon named Candy Smith? Of course, some of the names are just plain goofy at any age, and make a boy named Sue sound rather tame.
