The Old Folks Home

I have another rabbit duplex almost ready to put bunnies in. I have some of them living two to a cage and i hate doing that.
It was very cool today, i wish we would get 70° days instead of 80, 90, or 60! I am struggling to get the animal cages prepped for winter. I did put some plywood ends on some of the quail cages today. Got lots of cages that need ends on them for winter. I took one cage, moved the birds out, added longer legs, took off the feeders and hosed out the insides. Tomorrow i will freshen up the inside with new paint. I took apart one of the feeders i made some time ago and made it smaller, better for the quail.

Hmmm If you like NY strip Penny, you ought to buy T-bones and get the strip and a piece of tenderloin on the other side. Or pay a bit more for a porterhouse (which is nothing more than a thicker sliced T bone :rant) Personally I think they are all a "lesser" steak than a bone in rib eye. Funny that they charge more per pound for the boneless and there's much better flavor with the bone in. Probably works out about the same if you discount the bone and compare.

I'll take a rib eye over a NY strip, T bone, or tenderloin any day. The strip steak has too much gristle and the meat is much tougher than the rib eye. Tenderloin is as tender as the rib eye... They both can melt in your mouth, but tenderloin lacks the awesome flavor that the rib eye has. Thinkn' it has to do with the marbling of the rib eye that the loin doesn't have.

Used to like rare steak but understanding that that's less digestible and not good for you when you're older, I now go for medium rare. On top of that, I have gout issues and steak/beef is bad for that all by itself, more so when rare.

Cap you just keep going and going and going, like the Energizer Bunny. Wish I had your energy. If I didn't need to get up every day, think I would just stay in bed and grow roots.
I will soon have a 2 day rest when i have my surgery. Trying to get a lot done before the 17th, and ahead of the cold weather. Loads to accomplish.

@Latestarter you need to shop at our Costco we paid like 4.99 lb for those melt in your mouth steaks so bought a pkg of 4 and one of 5 gave us three meals pretty cheap this was on the spot special but depends how they are seasoned and cooked

Shopping at your Costco is kinda unrealistic since I'm ~1700 miles away as the crow flies... No Costco near me here.
Lubbock is that far from you?
