The Old Folks Home

Pretty day today. The leaves will all be gone soon.

MF there are people in Maine that grow citrus. They put them outside during the growing season and move indoors for the winter. I have my tropical plants in my dining room.
So they will get sun most of the day. So far they are doing great have not lost any leaves.
But it would be hard to grow a vine indoors.

We are at peak color now. High winds today really shook a lot of leaves loose. Seems as though our trees took on their fall colors almost overnight. All it took was one night with temps in the high 20's to get them shutting down. Fall here comes about 3 weeks or so later than it did back in IL. Funny what a difference 157 miles can make.

@chickadoodles, what a sweet surprise seeing something so pretty blooming this time of the year. Thank you for sharing that.

We are too. It's beautiful out there!

We have a new addition th the family. Puppies, what are we thinking at our age. For now, they keep me busy. I am selling all of my chickens, only 2 left. No more hatching, or chickens for me. I've enjoyed them immensely for the past almost 10 years! They made me happy! I find myself spending less and less time going out to be with them. I do have a few things going on, for sure. The pups keep us busy, and smiling. My DH picked this one out. They may out live us but, we have a son and DIL that love dogs too. This house will be there's when we are gone..gone. Will move in if DH needs to go into a facility. Our little Schnauzer already loves him to pieces. They come visit often. Meet Wilson! His mom is an Australian Shepherd, Dad, a Border Collie. Similar personalities. Cooper needed a friend that will like running too. Oh boy! He loves plopping down on the lawn. That's my little sis with him. About her..shes being moved to another facility! It's further away from us. Ugh..won't be able to see her as often. The place she is in is smaller. They will use it for those in chairs, diabetic, essentially for those that need a lot more attention.

Our Fall color is brown, for all things dry and dead! Unless someone is irrigating

well damned it all to hell... didn't win the megamillions, nor did I win the powerball. Guess the tractor (and next month's mortgage payment) will just have to wait...;)
:lau
Some people do spend tons. I remember way back when I was 20ish went to a now gone on main street magazine store when the NY lotto was at it's biggest (probably a huge 20mil or so lol) had to wait in line behind a ton of old people spending over a hundred dollars each. I spent one dollar, felt like that kid on Charlie and the chocolate factory buying one candy bar lol. I lost, so did the rest of them.
I forgot to buy a Powerball last night so upset, ohh well, probably would have lost, three dollars richer..
