Was talking to the Son we are talking a ham for Thanksgiving then Turkey for New Years dinner

I have to have both ham and Turkey for thanks giving.

Makes for a very full oven

So, Critter has cut up the fallen trees on and around the workshop/feed shed. I needed to put away some hay, so I needed to clear away a bunch of branches and log rounds so I could get to the doors. My phone had a tab open to YouTube music videos, and seeing Michael Jackson's "Thriller" on the play list, I thought, "what the hey, why not," and tapped it. There is a coop a few feet away from the workshop, and as I worked and the music played, the chickens began making fretful, alarmed noises. When Vincent Price wraps up with that maniacal laugh, one of the chickens began clucking in alarm (ever notice how similar that laugh is to a chicken alarm call?), and when I looked over at the coop, all of the birds had left the run and were huddled on the roosts in the coop. Chickens scared by Michael Jackson - who'da thunk it?

I found out today that the neighborhood has a new family, they moved in last week. I got two big dog crates delivered to our house, which belonged to them. They have 8 Golden Retrievers! He is busy putting up fences, glad to hear that!

Hopefully they don't have an appetite for birds.

Got my last quilt done on the old machine today (really pushed it, now my shoulders hurt) and went to load a 3$ panel onto the new machine for practice and... we lost power.

It's back on for now, but we're getting crazy wind until about 10 pm so I likely shouldn't tempt the gods.
