The Old Folks Home

That's too many dogs!

Hopefully they don't have an appetite for birds.

Got my last quilt done on the old machine today (really pushed it, now my shoulders hurt) and went to load a 3$ panel onto the new machine for practice and... we lost power.

It's back on for now, but we're getting crazy wind until about 10 pm so I likely shouldn't tempt the gods.

Looks lovely!

SGC hit another home run with a quilt!

Penny, it's just going to be DH and myself for Thanksgiving this year. I can't risk being in a room with 13 kids and not wear a mask and it's too hard to eat while wearing a mask so....Just my sweetie and me. BUT I will still make a roast for him as he doesn't like turkey and will quarter one of my hopefully free birds and bake a breast quarter for myself. We will have enough left overs for several meals. I just make regular fare along with home made rolls and pumpkin pie.

As for chickens being afraid of Michael Jackson, I think they would be more worried if they were young juvenile pullets and Cockerels given Jackson's history. ;):gig

I hope you can get some family time in!

Should have bought a generator .

Powers out .

Bought a Generac capable of running the house the year after Sandy. We love it. I have 3 sump pumps that must be running when it rains, and portable generators became too big a PITA.

Sorry Ron - Rob told me they no longer store old avatars. Which is why I don't switch mine. Sorry I can't recall your old avatar. Do you have it anywhere on the computer, or photos at home.
It was a sandhill crane.

I had saved up for the generac but installing it was going to be an issue .They'd have to blast into the slate we have (almost no soil here) so I bought a sewing machine. You're right I'll use it more than a generator but boy the universe had to teach me a lesson first .
