The Old Folks Home

Al, it wasn't that the fertility problem was annoying, it was that I had no way to continue my line without a fertile male. I have Black Australorps. I began with a breeding trio. They did fine, and I got chicks from the trio, which was the whole idea. The problem was, all the males hatched from that trio, were infertile. They could do the deed, but no fertilized eggs. I more recently ordered eggs from Kurt (Rattlesnake Ridge) to hatch. He doesn't normally ship anything, but we took a chance. The postal service scrambled the heck out of them, so that was a bust. He's in Virginia, so I was thinking about a road trip later on. He and his wife have developed some serious health issues, so in the meantime, he's had to radically downsize. The only other person I knew of, but has not been active in awhile was Chet Hupp, out in Arizona. He does not ship anything, due to problems he's had with the postal service, as well. I was thinking of taking a road trip out to Arizona, later on to get some from him, but have had trouble getting in touch with him. None of his email addresses seem to work anymore.

I had talked to Matt Ulrich about getting something, and was going to see about picking them up from him when he came down to the shows here in Florida. When I found out I had an opportunity to have someone get, and bring me a cockerel/rooster from him, I jumped on it. It may not sound like a big deal, but SOP BA's are not easy to find at all.

Muscles.... what are those?
Well, if you stop using that plow for a bit and switch over to a snow shovel, one of 2 things may happen... You'll discover what they are and that yours are either not well developed or haven't been used often, or if you continue to use said shovel you'll develop them and know them for yourself. :old;) Yeah... I know... :smack

Did kurt pack in sawdust? He sent me some packed that way.

Blame the PO if you want to, but packing is the key to good results with shipping
