DOUBLE?? :eek:Were you on some special introductory rate for a period of time?
And they charge you $10/month EACH for the remotes? Highway robbery!!!! Is it possible to buy those somewhere? When we had cable at the other house DW set it up. I think it was $5/month for the cable modem. Not sure if you could buy them yourself when we first got it. A couple of years ago I was looking at the bill and saw that charge. Called them and told them I was bringing it back. You can buy one at Best Buy for $80. One claim they made for why you would want to rent it from them is that they will replace it with new models. Yeah right, NEVER did they replace that modem. I bet we paid for 8 modems with that rental "deal".

Dh took my SUV to get new tires put on. They're going to do it tomorrow, but he had to take it today, because one of the tires would not hold air long enough for him to get it there tomorrow.

He called Tire Kingdom about 3 weeks ago, and they quoted him a price for tires on his car. He took it in to get them put on, but forgot to take his quote in. They jacked the price up about $300.00. Instead of leaving, he had them put them on. He did call Michelin, and tell them what they did. They are going to investigate it, but sent him a $200.00 rebate. In the meantime, he was talking to a few of the locals that work with him. They told him he should use Kaufman Tire, and mention he's Law Enforcement.

I had bought mine through a different Tire Kingdom. I got the road hazard warranty. He went to the local Tire Kingdom, and asked if my bad tire was covered. They laughed. My tires are 9 years old. I was not surprised, since I bought the best I could find, at the time. I paid almost $1,200.00 for them. The quote they gave him for the tires I want, was outrageous. This time, he didn't fall for it. He left.

The locals that work with him, steered him right. Kaufman waived the road hazard fee, waived the mounting, balancing, and stem fees, and waived the old tire disposal fee. On top of that, they discounted the tires 20%. I am getting over $1,200.00 worth of new tires for $827.00 out the door.
