Cynthia please hold a pillow firmly against your ribs when you feel coughs coming on.

When my brother had a quardruple bi-pass several years ago, they told him to do that. Actually in the hospital they gave him a stuffed bear to hug/hold tightly.

Did you have the current flu shot CYN? My brother and I are seniors and they give us a stronger dose.

Yes, I did get that flu shot this year. That's a good idea with the pillow....the cough is getting worse. Have my secrets at hand..for sore throats..has a better numbing affect than the one for the cough.

Dr wouldn't let me get a flu shot back in November when I saw him. Saw him earlier this month and he asked me why I didn't get a flu shot. I was immunosuppressed!

I tell ya, sometimes you just wanna kick them where they live.

So bread is out of the oven along with rolls for dinner and a small loaf left over from the rolls. Wall is finished. Kitchen is clean. Told DH not to get used to it. Back to dishes in the sink drying tomorrow.

Yes, I do decorate with ducks, chickens and farm animals in general. DH tolerates my obsessions, bless him.

Oh that looks nice! My hubby also tolerates my...chicken decor. . I also went a while before meeting my good man. Had been married before. Oh dear. Never knew that women could be treated like a queen.

I told hubby i got chicks at rural king, silkies and cochins. He was ok with it.

Also got both Shingrex shots ( best protection so far from shingles).

Have they finally gotten the supply problem fixed?

Well aren't we having fun today.
DD2's car finally fixed. I took her to the shop this morning (1/2 way to her work) to pick it up and continue to work. Told Adam thanks and I hope I never have to see you professionally again. Returning home coming into town 10 minutes later a vehicle crossed the center line and I pulled right as far as I could, hit the horn hard then was hit driver's front corner to driver's front corner. 30 MPH area at least. That car never veered from the straight line at my car. Car probably totalled. Ambulance ride to the ER, nothing broken, whiplash. Other driver taken to the same place, MRIed and then, according to the state trooper who was taking my information, was going to be transferred to the UVM Medical Center. Nurse said I would hurt worse tomorrow and Monday.
Yay.
Now I need a new car. Was not in the current plans.

God, Bruce! I'm so sorry but glad you weren't hurt worse than you were.

I went through the whiplash thing from a driver's side collision back in 93. Old lady was looking for a rummage sale and changed lanes turing right into me. Don't sign off on anything till your are 100% sure you are okay. I did and was later sorry that I didn't demand an MRI before signing off.

Cars can be replaced. Your body will need time to heal and isn't easily replaced.

Bruce I get my shots at Target, my brother at his doctor or at Walmart.

My brother got a call from Walmart some time ago to tell him shots where in and they were holding the 2nd. one for him.

Late Dec, Target called me and said my 2nd.shingrex was in and they would hold it 13 days for me. I didn't wait, I rushed out to get it.

Okay my Target is in Hodgkins, IL. near a couple trailer parks. No big money floating around.

My brother 's Walmart is in Downers Grove / Darien not sure, at one intersection connects also with Woodridge. BTW his Dr. still didn't have the shots.

We both were on lists for several pharmacies. But, turned out our original stores got them first.

BTW Walgreen's had a big sign that the Shingles shots were IN. I dropped in there first and discovered they were the old type of shot not the improved one. Fake news, what else can I say?

Come to think of it my doctor's office didn't have the vaccine either.

My sister is in New Mex. and they still haven't come out with the shots. She's supposed to visit in May - if I find out when, I will see if they have shots for her and adult daughter.

Plus at our Target they were giving $ 5. Target cpns. with any vaccinations. I got that one but, Pharmacist said I had ALL the other shots on the radar. Now what? My Pharmacist also lets me have one of his stash of candy bars. I was unhappy that they no longer gave out bandaids with the Target dog on them.

PS the first Shingrex I got didn't start hurting for a couple hours. Then arm was sore for 3 days. The second Shindrex shot didn't bother me at all.
