The Old Folks Home

I hear ya @Cynthia12 and congratulations. I lost most of mine on low carb, smaller portions, no red meat. I can't do Keto as it relies on nuts as one of the protein healthy fat foods and I'm allergic to tree nuts. I didn't realize how many calories I was eating until I started measuring what I ate and eliminating junk food. I allow myself a treat daily now as I'm really not trying to lose any more. Once a week I give myself a BIG treat. This morning I made donuts. It's really amazing how much you savor something when you don't eat it regularly. The gout diet relies heavily on veggies which I can live with as I love roasted vegetables.

Congratulations @CapricornFarm on another successful hatch. You are cranking out the chicks this year! Are these promised to somebody or are you keeping them for yourself.

In the high 40s here today. My cockerel that I almost lost to coccidia last year decided to have a flare. He was up running around bossing the smaller roosters around yesterday afternoon and drooping like a beenie baby last night. Gave him a bolus of Corid and he's mostly back to himself this morning. I'll probably bolus him again and start treating the whole flock tomorrow or the next day. I may need to reorder Corid.

I will be selling most of the chicks i hatch, i have chicks coming from Murray McMurray in June.

Hazelnut flavored - that seems to be of big interest in the stores now, and I seem to taste any I can :yesss: alas the Hazelnut ice cream bars, didn't taste at all like that :hit
husband likes hazelnut, me, not so much, i prefer pecans above all nuts(icecream, butter pecan):drool

Trails are too mushy muddy alternating with super icy to take Ripley very far on them. She is not pleased.

One of my beehives survived the winter.

Definitely professional grade work. I did a self taught cake decorating project once so I can appreciate the effort that went into the job.

Got my brooder moved into the hobby room. Everything is piled right now so after I get organized I'll go about cleaning and disinfecting. Two weeks till Fayoumi chicks arrive.

That is a touching start to a memorial Quilt!

Are you going to add another bee hive this year?
