Is that the one from Fulton, IL? with the steam boat?
:caf Can hardly wait to see how it turns out!

Yes!! I'm about 2/3 of the way done with it but need to stop for the evening. I'll be finishing that one up next weekend then I think on to Kentucky Frogs. I also need to start another nicu top. Goal was to have 10 done for the year, I'm 8 all the way done and quilted/bound and the last 2 tops made (I don't have backing for them unfortunately) and then got a few more ideas. I'll probably work on these a few more months since they piece pretty quickly and are for a really good cause.

So playing my favorite daydream game, I asked my DH "Say you won the $200 million Powerball. What would you want to get?"
His reply, "A duck."
(After 20+ years, this man never ceases to amaze me.)
I replied, "Better splurge and get two. One lonely duck quacks a lot."

And thus ensued a conversation about just where said ducks would go and it is decided the secret herb garden off the master bedroom. (Of course, winning the Powerball we could just buy them their own property with pond.) Don't know if ducks will come to pass, but something tells me the "Ducklings are in!" sign down at our village mercantile is going to prove too much of a temptation should one drive in that direction....

And IF we win the lottery, said duck would be named "Lucky."

Hello, Old Folks!
I don't post much, but check in and try to keep up daily.
@getaclue - those cookies! :drool I think I've gained weight just looking at them! (I love hazelnut.)

@penny1960 - cute little ones! We're going to be gone a lot this summer, so no new chicks for me unless someone goes broody. My girls are just 11 months old, so whether taht happens or not will remain to be seen.

@ronott1 - Ron, it would be upsetting to find a chicken massacre like that. Are you sure they left the coop open, and it didn't accidentally happen somehow? I think I'd play dumb when they get home. "I don't know what happened. We came, found the coop and run wide open, and dead chickens." See what they have to say. I do agree that I would not help them get more chickens. I'm sorry you had to put one of your former birds down.

@perchie.girl - I'm with you. I don't bake unless we're getting company that I can feed it to. Otherwise, I end up eating it all. DH doesn't like sweets or baked goods all that much. (I don't know what went wrong there.

@microchick - Congrats on the weight loss!

@CapricornFarm - Yay, chickies

@superchemicalgirl - Beautiful job on the quilt!

@Cynthia12 - I'm so glad you have chickens again!
