The Old Folks Home

Just about all our snow had melted on Saturday. There were just the bigger piles left from plowing or drifting deep.
Sunday morning we woke up to about 3 inches of fluffy, wet snow. The kind that clings to the trees and enough to cover everything without being "too much". Most of it melted by sunset and the rest melted today.
I have removed my "snowy sign" avatar and hope I am not jinxing us.
I really need Spring to arrive on time this year!

DH and I were talking today after hearing a man on the HAM radio talking about it being 18 degrees in MN this morning and still with lots of snow on the ground.

I said if we were desperate to move to a warmer climate we would probably look for somewhere with milder winters with summers like we currently have. Maybe Southern Arkansas or Tennessee.:bow I really have to salute you brave souls that live up there where there are two seasons. Winter and July.:bow
Virginia is lovely!

We had the most beautiful day today 75 if it was anything loved it our humidity is like zip never been bothered by it google Mayfield Dam and Riffe Lake maintained by Tacoma Power We cross Lake Mayfield just to go to Chehalis.. With that I will say goodnight

You also forgot black fly season, construction season and tourist season. Many of them overlap, but they are distinct seasons.

I was thankful that over the weekend someone got some dirt and filled in the worst of the potholes and giant frost heaves on one of the roads we take to get home from work. That road is the worst I've seen around here (none of them are good).

We do get black gnat season here. I have not been bothered by they in a long time. Chickens must eat them!

I'm not sure what season we're in - some days are still savage and some are nice with rain (not icy drizzle). No snow around but, don't quote me on that. I should just :duc

True... don't jinx it.

We went to slush... back to snow... I haven't yet checked to see if there is ice between.

Penny, you're warmer than we are. It's 60, raining, and windy here right now. It's just nasty out right now. This too shall pass. In the meantime, it's Spring Break, so we're cooped up with kids. Hopefully tomorrow it won't be raining, so they can get out, and burn off some energy.
