The Old Folks Home

A sure sign of spring! Another sign: we've had peepers making a huge racket for several days now.

I see the bow of a sail board sticking out behind the shack, isn't the pond a bit small for that? ;)
Yeah... but spouse lacks brain...

That is the sunfish from when I was a kid. ...... yeah.. .

When we moved up here I said NO WAY would I use such a thing in cold water! I wanted to had it over to a sister.... but spouse wanted to bring it up.

Sail is I think rotted somewhere... kids use it to float on, on the pond. But not often. It was a huge selfish waste to bring it up here. :rant

Dental bills are a fortune everywhere - they should have Dental medicare too. Bad teeth = bad health.
I have nearly reached the limit of what Delta Dental covers in a year. After this, anything done will be 100% out of pocket.

I am going to cancel dental cleanings until January when the new year starts

Sorry. IMHO insurance companies are rackets. A patient once looked at his EOB for what his insurance company paid for his glasses and exam and did the math. He announced that if he just saved x amount of dollars every month he would have the money in pocket to pay outright for his glasses and exam.

I told the man he had just had a moment of enlightenment.

Case in point I am paying 1004.00 for my new lower plate I could go somewhere else save maybe 200 but where I am going made the only one that is right for me .. dental care I take them out hand them over the reason I need a new one I did not go back where it was made to have it fixed ..
Thank my lucky stars only bruised my hind end right cheek no face plant

My dental(Delta) renews in May. My first dental appt. last May, almost wiped out my yearly coverage. I skipped my cleaning for November. Have an apt. in May- hope that doesn't clean out the coverage. then of course have to pay $ 50. deductible plus monthly payments of $ 35.34 When I use up my lifetime coverage with Delta, have to find some other company. Good grief.

Mine has lifetime on some things like braces and implants. It does not look like there are life time limits for fillings, crowns and cleanings.

Mine is through work and is paid by the University. Vision is the same-- I do not pay for coverage. I do pay for health care but not that much compared to other plans I have seen.
