The Old Folks Home

California has the slowest growth rate in it's history currently. Birth rates and immigration are barely ahead of death rates and those moving out of State.

Still, the State is approaching 40 million residents
I keep reading for various reasons we need more people, productivity, jobs, growth etc. Meanwhile the population in the U.S. has just about doubled in the last 60yrs.

Hopefully my garden is dry enough (well can't say dry enough, just hopefully not too wet) to till it all tomorrow. Only have peas in so far. Have two bundles of onion plants from Dixondale farms to get in. Got a bundle of Ailsa Craig the one's they use for exhibition giant onion competitions so want to get them in early as I can. Haven't ever grown non long keeper onions like them but I am giving them a try. Think I'll dehydrate them and debating using my electric dehydrator or build a solar one. I'm sure a solar one would be worth it and come in handy for other stuff in the summer just not sure if our fall for onions would be sunny hot enough to dehydrate onions. ??
