Well, I'm bummed.

I've been reading on hatching quail in expectations of hatching a batch for fun and food. Can't Quail are highly susceptible to Marek's disease and it's been known to kill chicks 14 days after hatching.

Another plan shot in the backside by Marek's Disease. Now I have two quail eggs under a bantam hen that I am almost hoping don't hatch at this point.

I lost my last hen from possible/probably Marek's disease symptoms in March. Time will tell.

Saw the Surgeon.... No surgery.... too high risk... cant talk about it right now just so disappointed.

Hi Cynthia.... No surgery for now.... have to see the GI doc to find out why my gut Grabsup in pain about every two or three days.... Could be GI issues Like IBS or worse Diverticulosis... and then Diverticulitis.... Surgeon wont do surgery with Diverticulitis being the culprit.

IBS I can deal with... it flaired when Grandma had a particularly aweful episode where she was mean to both dean and I....

Its flairing now She was very mean to both of us yesterday.... I know she cant help it but dang....

Ok while I was writing this the Docs office called..... Surgery is on for the Eleventh of JUNE.... I go get my packet. Today before four....
