The Old Folks Home

We've been having buckets of rain almost every day, and sometimes all through a day.
Us too .. I planted flowers and some veggies in between rainy days. Haven't had to water them but once. Our April was very close to reaching a record high in moisture. Our son and daughter inlaw took us to see tulips! Wow. This place has been doing this for years, have wanted to go, but haven't. Lucky us! Didn't rain, and the rain hadn't ruined the tulips. It was great. I went to bed with visions of Tulips in my head.

I've been really itchy to plant, but we get frosts till the end of May. Last yr was weird, snow on the ground till May and then it melted off and no frosts, could've planted three weeks early. This yr snow gone early but still frosts so glad I didn't take the gamble.
Bought a box of 65 Gladiolus bulbs , have to figure out where I'm going to put them suckers also.

Their is huge bulb farm up North of Seattle they are looking to retire he is from Holland and many of the bulbs where brought from there they have many acres of land but want someone that will stay with the tulips and are willing to wait for that one to show up :bow

Cynthia, those flowers are absolutely beautiful. Nice looking family too.

Our garden is doing really well, so far. The center row is NOT all weeds. They're flowers. Dh let the gandbaby help do the planting. She sprinkled various flower seed packets all over the place. Front left are squash, and zucchini. The center row is a variety of flowers. Over to the right where you can't see, are peppers, and tomatoes. In the rear are Conch peas.

A little thunderstorm brewed up, and knocked out the power for a little over an hour. I called the power company when it went out, and they estimated it would be back on within a couple hours. No AC, but it was cool from the rain, and continued to sprinkle, along with a little breeze, so I opened the sliders, and windows. The grands each grabbed a tablet to play games, or watch cartoons, so they were amused. It was so pleasant, I took a nap.

Aww, congratulations! Beautiful baby!

We do, too. I tell people that the only way I get signal at home is to be out on the deck, leaning over the rail, holding onto a metal coat hanger, wearing my tinfoil hat. I have recently heard about the wi-fi phone thing, and I'm thinking about looking into that. But change is hard....
