Found a bunch of wildflower seeds the other day so I’m thinking I’m going to plant them all and have a pretty section of wildflowers growing.

And I’m doing well thank you!!

Graduated with an associates in behavioral science from the local branch of this little college last May and then I started walking and dog sitting my brother and his fiancée’s dogs soon after and so I am trying to build that business.

They only had one dog at the time but got a second in September so started paying me a little bit more and then in January their neighbor asked me if I would let their dog out once a week because that was the only day she was alone all day and they felt bad so I go over and let her out and hang out with her and play and stuff for like half hour to an hour (sometime I stay a bit later) once a week. We have a lot of fun. And I have also watched our family friend’s two dogs a few times too when they’ve been away or whatever. So my client base is slowly growing lol working on getting insurance or something and some business cards to grow it even further.

Was gonna do Rover and still might just for the convenience and to build up some more clients in the beginning but they take like 20% so to me that is kind of a rip off and the insurance is way cheaper. But it may be good to just get my name out there at first. But so I’ve been working on that.

And planning on finding a real job too just to save up faster and also so I can eventually get an apartment cause I don’t think they rent without one or at least it is way harder with non traditional income.

Plus the minimum wage here is way higher so I want to get one here and save here with the higher wage before I move somewhere with a lower one like I want to eventually.

But I do want to move out eventually.

But trying to save 6 or 12 months rent first which was recommended to me a while ago on the other thread (even though my little brother doesn’t think that’s necessary and that I should just move out now as I have way more than he has and he moved out a while ago LOL). Dad and older brother said don’t listen to him when I told them my plan and what he said lol but yeah.

It’s hard though because everything is soooo expensive here and it just seems like a huge waste of money to me.

Especially when I found this really cheap place in Erie next to the mall where I can get a fairly large place for way cheaper than anything here or was considering like Ohio (one of the three C’s probably, Columbus, Cleveland, or Cincinnati) cause it’s cheap too or like Pittsburgh for the music scene which I’m really into and price too (though prices have been going up there too so some places aren’t exactly cheap anymore but still cheaper than here for the most part) which I think I’d like. Except for the weather. That might be miserable. Idk. Not sure I want to live in a super snowy place but I hate the heat too.

But anyway, now I’m rambling.

Long story short, it’s hard because I feel like I am wasting money if I rent an apartment here but I also do not want to and cannot leave here yet because I am finally getting my dog business going and I can’t just leave all my clients behind. Plus I can charge a bit more here than I would be able to in lower cost of living areas. And also my brother’s wedding is in September so I can’t just leave now. But it’s such a waste imo and I just can’t justify throwing my money away when I don’t want to live here and could save for something better elsewhere. So for now I am still living at home.

My brother wants me to move over there because they have a walk out basement with a bed and bathroom and stuff and little sitting area and that could be nice but it’s also a tad small (though little brother says it’s not and bigger than his place ha) and I think it’d be weird to live with them.

Granted it’s technically a separate space but still a bit weird to me.

And kind of defeats the purpose of them paying me if I give it right back lol

But they were just thinking something cheap like $200 a month or something but still a lot to me especially for just a basement ha and it’s only like half the basement or less too cause the other part is unfinished. It’s really nice and everything but still. So I don’t think I will.

But they were just thinking so I can get out and away from my parents and kind of start my own life and stuff but I don’t really want to live over there.

So for now I think I will just stay here and save my money and then move somewhere I want to when I’m ready.

But I also can’t buy a house yet either because I have no idea where I want to end up and, again, don’t want to move away yet, and the one thing I know for a fact is I don’t want to live in this area permanently lol

So I’m kinda stuck atm.

Might go back to school for animal science or something though to help with training cause I’m also considering getting certified as a professional dog trainer but idk. There’s this class I wanna take to that I wanna sign up for.

Yeah definitely, although I’m not really too focused on the apartment thing atm, besides saving a lot. I mean, I do look occasionally but right now I’m mainly focused on the pet sitting/walking, the chickens (and the new chicks), and the garden. I need to get that planted soon.

I did straighten my hair today.
