Ron, I think all the educational institutions across the country have to be updated by the end of Dec. Dd #1's college recently updated, then had to overhaul some of their software. When they finished, it was glitchy. At first, I thought it was because they updated, and she would have to have Windows 10 to run it. That's why I started updating my computers.

Come to find out, she was already using Windows 10 on my laptop. I had reverted it to Windows 7, but when she started college, and was going to use my laptop, Dh was sneaky, and put Windows 10 back on it. He knew the college had to update, and didn't want her stuff getting messed up in the process. He figured if he went ahead, and updated everything, thing she would be all set to go. When the laptop began glitching, she went to use one of the college computers, and it was glitching too. They seem to have fixed most of the glitches now, so she's good to go.

All the county govt. computers have to be using Windows 10 by then end of Dec. as well. He says tech support at the Sheriff's Dept. is busy, to say the least.

We had to do the same process with When XP was at the end of support from Microsoft. Luckily we do not have that many Win 7 computers left.

Three of our conference rooms are still Win 7 and some of the Graduate student offices.

I will be removing the computers from those offices though. They mostly use their own laptops
