Those posts add up!I need to get out and weed my garden but it is doing so poorly I look at it and think, well, at least the weeds are growing and being productive.
KDOGG, trust me, 25 is not old, although 25 isn't 18, you are in the most amazing years of your youth right now. I remember being your age and thinking 40 was just ancient and near death. 40 hit and NBD. Actually, 30 was horrible. I cried for 5 months. 50 was like Cool. Finally I get some respect. 60 was like OMG I'm a senior citizen! Give me my danged discounts! I also learned that if I stopped coloring my hair, I got those senior citizen discounts, LOL 65 was a milestone for me. I made it! Social Security and Medicare both! YAY!
But in all seriousness, the only thing I notice about being older other than looking in the mirror and saying 'who the heck is that old woman anyway and where did all those sags and wrinkles come from?' is that personally I started reflecting back on my life. Things that were great, things that weren't so great, things I wish I had done differently, and then looking forward. True, there are more years behind many of us than there are ahead but these years to come are like the icing on the cake.
Give yourself another 30 years and when I am looking at 97 and you are looking at 55, we can look back on this post on BYC and have a good laugh. You'll know me. I'll still be Microchick and I'll be working on my 110,000 post.
not as many as you Ron
