The Old Folks Home

Today they are reporting that the 6.2 was a "pre-shock" and this 7.1 was the "real" quake. A 6.2 PRE?!?! They are expecting aftershocks for weeks if not months. Maybe California really is going to break off into the Pacific!

You and @drumstick diva share a birthday!

Dang turkey is too smart for her (or is that your?) own good!
When the 6.2 hit a seismologist said that there was a 50% chance that a bigger one would hit in the next two days. 7.1 is very strong. It took about 20 minutes for the wave to reach us and move the hanging lights, indoor chimes and blinds.

This is all original! Restored by the guy kid 3 works for.

This was funny... environmental group.. driving a bus in the parade that was BELCHING out HUGE clouds of black smoke.... kid 3 said maybe instead of spending money on the fancy paint job... they should have fixed the mechanicals.

Every maybe 20 feet it would stall out and one guy would jump out to pop the hood and fiddle. There were a BUNCH of people IN the bus. They should have shut it off and pushed it. That would have been very pro environment.

That looks like a fun parade!

Will the games include some scottish pipers? Will people get to be blessed by a Queen Mary impersonator? They do that here at the Scottish Games!

I always wanted to go there too. Then I think about the weather and the skeeters big enough to slap saddles on and postpone my daydreams about going there...

Great parade, Al. I love small towns, which is why we live outside of one with a population of 1300

Morning all my best egg customer came by picked up an 18 and a 12 the 12 goes to his wifes (great gal) father ... I remember the parades from being in Juneau all those years
much more creative all is fair there but Avon skin so soft was the only thing to stop killer size mosquito's right now they are having 80 degree weather up there also :idunno
