Morning all 10:30 here not allot planned actual full clean out of the main coop tomorrow taking the little joe tiller in moving tables good stuff will come out of it.. haircuts at 11 here in town but the Gal that does it is quite pregnant change of life baby for her but means she will not be around to continue for awhile

This is what I've been seeing the past few mornings from my patio. Yes, there are 4 Sandhill Cranes, but it's hard to see all 4 of them. One of the younger ones is the one I helped rescue awhile back. My how it's grown.

We see these ducks sometimes. I'm not sure what kind they are, but they sure are pretty. It doesn't show good in the pic, but their bill is a bright orange, and so are their feet.

Is that just the light? Or are your sandhill cranes really that dark?

Ours are lighter.

Not having wetlands close we have no cranes or ducks stopping by
got the trims out of the way so now just coops to clean

Al, some of it is the lighting, and some of it is that they're wet. Yes, it's still raining some after a heavy downpour. It brings the bugs, and worms up.

We have a couple white cranes in the fancy suburb near us, they have a pond and a man made waterfall. But every time I would get the camera all set, they would fly off.

Yeah, I took 13 half grown quail out of my bathroom and put them in a brooder. Then I fixed the small gap at the top of the divider. The California valley quail can make it through a one inch gap. They will get the other half of the brooder.
And I got some birds fed. The roosters I couldn't find last night showed up this morning. Have to figure out where they are hiding.

Peeps you and Maxine really understand me. I wonder if there is a smilie eating ice cream- if not there SHOULD be. I know I'm not the only one, some are just reluctant
to admit it.

Yup me to made fritter this morning did get coops cleaned oh baked twice the apples so they can have them on ice cream tonight
