The Old Folks Home

Hey there Micro We the only ones here what the ? had laundry list to do today
just had the chance to sit down good off
I am at work today

Well now Ron, being at work is no excuse for not goofing off on the computer...:gig

The sun finally came out here around 4pm. They are calling for rain through tomorrow night so I'm hoping my clothes hanging out will have a chance to get dry before sundown. Today has felt more like July than late August. Late August already.:thI was thinking about getting my 'harvest' decorations out today and had to give myself a shake at the thought that we are heading into fall. Spring was non existent here this year. Chilly and very wet. July was HOT and dry. Now it's HOT and wet although I saw highs in the high 70s towards the end of the week.

Oh well. Always next year to look forward to. Hopefully I've seen the last of the broodies for this year. Every hen I have went broody. Now the funny thing is that when I gave the neighbor 20+ hens and a few roosters, I had 3 broodies in that group. She told me recently that they all stopped being broody for her. HA! I wonder what she was slipping them in their water? More than that, where can I get some of it!

Move them to another coop? Mine quit brooding after one hatched and the last 3 didn't hatch so I took them.

I used to make popcorn balls when I was in my 20s. My dad loved them but wound up breaking a tooth and having to have it pulled. When I saw the dentist I told him I guessed my popcorn ball making days were over and he told me why? I was just insuring him income!

Our dentist was a good guy and a friend so we had a good laugh over it. From that point on I went into the office and when I checked in always said 'break out the new equipment catalogues! I'm here to finance a new piece of technology for the office!'

Also when my son was young - took him to see his first movie. Think it was called
"The Indian in the Cabinet." Got popcorn - first bite took out a major filling. I could NOT like the movie thinking how much the dental bill would be. My son liked the movie.
