The Old Folks Home

Well that COULD be true. Not here, no rooster. I guess she needs a wee bit of education on what it takes for a fertile egg to start developing.

I did my bit for poultry education. It took a bit of thought, because I was flustered at her question, trying to imagine how you figure out which eggs are safe to break into the frying pan, and which ones would have “little chickens” ( as she put it) falling out.

Microchick you are forgetting one major thing. You adopted 5 puppies the same age.

But I can't think of anyone I know who birthed 5 babies the same age. They would be driving their mama up the walls if they didn't knock them down first. See just like 5 puppies. You can't lock 5 babies into their crates and take a nap without someone calling the cops. Puppies have to be easier

Yep, puts it in the proper perspective doesn't it?

Although DH points out that you can put toddler in a play pen. Put the pups in a playpen and they will be hurling themselves out in about 10 seconds flat or chewing their way through the bars, LOL.

They were in rare form last night, must have been the rainy weather moving in. We finally herded them into their room and I told them if it wasn't so danged expensive I'd throw them in a crate, punch a few holes in it for air and ship them all back to Australia. They are funny really. The two girls, especially Sidney, are velcro dogs. Sid more so than Rox. She will attach herself to your leg and stay there as long as you stand still wanting cuddles. Meanwhile....the other 4 are plotting the take over of the house and all in it. Keeps life interesting.

I can just imagine their reaction to Christmas and a tree in the house. Will have to nail it to the ceiling.

I'm sure they will find a way to to form a puppy ladder and make it up to the Xmas tree.
The boys will hoist their legs on it, and you'll have a down pouring of yellow rain. Forgive me - they are likely reading this. I better go now...
