The Old Folks Home

The bear visited last night and knocked over one of the feed barrels in Turkey Town. So she had some laying pellets to eat. I am glad it's a small , shy bear. Still, I need to beef up security. More work and more money.
Once they find food definately.... I am more afraid of bears than Rattlesnakes

Afternoon Old Folks went out to home depot and ace hardware on the way back needed propane for the stove BF bought a electric leaf blower to tide him over got two names to rehab the engine on the other one sitting here having grapes did coops and such as we got home

Really been on a roll with this whole cooking/healthy eating thing lately. :lau

It snowed, rained, sleeted, snowed, and more today, all day. The girls wouldn't come out except to eat some cherry tomatoes I tossed in front of the coop. They were on the roost earlier than usual. I went out to shut the coop and realized I never scooped the poop today! Since it's so damp I decided it was important, so I reached under them and scooped up the worst of it. They looked on with interest ("Treats?") but I wrapped up before any of them got down to investigate. I love the cooing sounds they make at night; so sweet, especially compared to some of the demanding noises they make when they think I should give them some of my lunch! Or warm mash, in this weather.

Micro - thank you muchly - received it Saturday and used most of it today. You went overboard lady. You should just have sent me Varn, he sounds like just MY type.

Hope when you finish the painting you will post a photo of it, I would love to see it.

Our pleasure, my friend.

As for Varn, I'd try but he'd just chew his way out of the crate and terrorize the UPS guys. That little dog is 32 pounds of attitude with deceptively sweet eyes and a ready cattle dog grin on his face.

He and Diesel are madly in love with 6 year old Spot. We don't have the heart to tell them that she's been spayed and no matter how many times we tell Diesel that he left the family jewels at the vet's office he keeps...ummm...trying.

DH is going to get a good pic of my finished Christmas ornaments tomorrow. And I've officially started the French Bull Dog portrait. I've got a nose roughed out...
