The Old Folks Home

Guess I got it short for summer then we really did not have one little past my shoulders I dry it straight I still have errant curls here and then lost most after cancer hate them makes my hair parted in middle a loop at the only eye I see from lot of help that is ... Did the grocery shopping today at Costco saw the cutest pink sweater only 10 bucks I bought it going to wear it to dinner we always go to dinner when we get groceries this is a big event here we go buy meat at Costco nothing is small packages but works we get about 3 out of each package 3 meals

15 degrees here this morning. I'll go out soon to let the birds out as there is no sense letting them loose when it is so cold.
Same here so I didn't hurry out either. Of course it was only 20° when I did go out at 11 AM.

I wonder if this will change when more of the Boomers are older
Only if the journalists are boomers!

I think the boom was over a couple of years after I was born (1953)
As Ron said, 1964 is the last year, DW's brother is a member of that group.

I was awake when he put the tube in my ear. My older son had ear tubes , but they had to put him under.
DD2 had multiple ear infections as a kid (and we didn't know about most of them). She had tubes. She had surgery to fill the holes when they didn't fill in by themselves. Still had infections in college, ended up with surgery on both ears a couple of years ago to repair the damage from the infections. Sometimes it isn't good to have a high pain tolerance.

What I wonder is when there are a lot more boomers than younger generations if the boomers will get more respect.
Not likely. The latest meme is to say "OK Boomer" when an "old fogey" doesn't agree with a younger person's point of view. I'm gonna have to find a lot of restraint not to smack the first person upside the head who pulls that on me. Hopefully it will never happen.

What I find especially frustrating, though, is when shopping the older person is usually the last one to get service and -- in my case -- is often ignored.
Pretty sad on a lot of fronts.

And I am making sure to clean the bites well.
:thumbsup

Is it normal that it still keeps draining/oozing stuff? It stopped for a while but started again. It’s clear I think.
That might be a good thing.

I belive its away for the body to flush out a wound... Try not to cover it too snugly.

Are you up on your tetanus shots?

All that work, vacuuming, and mopping all the floors Monday night, and the kitchen floor is a disaster now. One kid spilled a whole glass of tea. One dropped his plate, as he was carrying it to the garbage to clean it off, before putting it into the sink, and got ketchup all over. The youngest dropped food all over. Sheesh!

Serous is normal at first. I'd just keep the wounds slathered with triple A ointment and covered. For some reason I've never found dog bites to be as bad as cat bites when it comes to healing them up and our dermatologist agrees.

Today the vet's 'office cats' were out in full force and every one of them had to come up and see Varn. Now this little termite who has been the terror of every cat we own was rubbing noses and wanting to play with the kitties. Some times ya just wanna cry!

The office manager said that just about every cat hating dog that comes into the office loves the office cats. I think it's because there are about 10 of them and they are all just adorable pushy hair balls.

@perchie.girl, I hit about 4 hair stylists before I found one that when I said 'I want my hair to look like Hallie Berry's when she was a Bond girl' knew what I was talking about. I told her I was relocating and needed to be able to trim my hair myself and she showed me how to do it. She did a perfect job and I've kept that hairstyle for over 15 years now. Women tell me that they love my hair and wished they had the guts to wear it as short as I do mine. I tell them it's simple and even if you make a mistake, a baseball cap and 8 weeks cures all problems.

@ronott1 was it you who said to wrap my gifted pheasant in bacon? Well the little devil that sits on my left shoulder whispering 'but you LOVE bacon' won out and I bought bacon today. :smack:drool
