Good morning folks! I am in the final Christmas panic of trying to get work done and get my last projects done for the holiday. I finished up the peacock wall hanging now I just have to ship it. I also got a cape made for one of DD's friends. She contacted me last weekend to see if I could make a cape for her daughter. Oh and by Christmas. LOL They actually are not too hard to make. I got the "frozen" one done yesterday in just a couple of hours. I am making one more and then that project is done. I have two more I have to get done then I am done with Christmas projects.

It’s just our excuse for falls that puts the responsibility anywhere but on the skier!

When I was younger, I could water ski, and roller skate too. I'm not even foolish enough to attempt it at my age. For the record, I've always maintained that skis, skates (regular, and inline), skateboards, snowboards, and the like, were inventions paid for by health insurance companies, to sell more insurance.

My granddaughter, and I have come to some neutral ground regarding the Christmas tree. It has 8 light patterns. Every day, she has been moving, and bending all the tree branches, so she could get to the light controller, and change the pattern. The first day, I let it slide. The next day, I got all the branches arranged, put down a sheet, then put snow fluff stuff on it, so it looked like it was sitting in snow. Later that day, the snow fluff was moved, a small shoe print was on it, the branches were all askew, and the light pattern had changed. I began getting serious about her not messing up the branches. I threatened to box the tree back up, if she did not leave it alone.

The temptation is just too great. BUT, she doesn't want me to find out she's changing the pattern every day, so she's being super careful. She's crawling under the tree, not disturbing the branches, pushing the button, then crawling out. The only telltale signs is the snow fluff is messed up, and the Barbie doll, or stuffed animal that she forgets to pick up, after she's done the deed, and hurries off so she doesn't get caught. I can live with that. We're both happy that way.

Hmmm, getting away with a banned act seems like a bad idea. She'll get the idea that things are illegal ONLy if you get caught.

I would love to try skiing out West.
When the snow is heavy, they call it “Sierra Cement.”

They also say "If you can ski the East you can ski anywhere".
People used to soft fluffy western snow have no idea how to set and hold an edge.

I really love mountains. I want to ski in the Canadian Rockies. Banff!

Go big or go home - heli-skiiing in Canada! Spouse did it once with her parents about 25 years ago.

the big loop goes to what ever you have on your body.... The little loop is attached to a quick release pin. When you pull that pin the whole rig removes from your body.

cheaper to learn how to do a bank robbers knot... but then I am me... I know stuff that can be used more than one place.... LOL.

I guess Water skiers use them too. Oh and they are only seven bucks... the harness ones are uber expensive 65.00 a pair.... SMH... but of course they have different style attach points and lots of harness leather on them.

Standard on sailboats for connecting sheets to the jib. Wouldn't be using cheap $7 ones though. I'm not at all sure one would have the time to pull either the horsethief or shackle pin when the dogs pull you over.

It sounds like the snow is nice up there currently. We are getting more today with rain in the valley. There should be powder up there tomorrow
