The Old Folks Home

Yeah, we got a LOT of rain over the past two days. I looked out the living room window yesterday and observed that the gutters are clogged...usually something that we don't worry about this time of the year.

We already hit the high of 50 degrees today. Temps dropping throughout the morning to something like 29 by 5pm.

Still temps way mild for this time of the year. Either the Farmer's Almanac is WRONG, or winter is just going to arrive sometime in April.

@CapricornFarm, so glad that you had a good day and the steroid 'blossom' hit you. Yeah, our house is never cleaner than it is when I get a kenolog or pred shot. Of course I don't sleep for a week but man I'm a cleaning and organizing machine in the meantime!
I was hoping to do more outside today but it is raining so perhaps I will get some cleaning done.
How are you today?

One time I had asthma so bad my doc gave me a high dose of prednazone... four days worth. OH MY GAWD that stuff is a miracle drug... Took care of my asthma and Took care of my muscle aches and pains and even lessened my joint pain that I have had very long term.

I asked her If I could be on it long term and she said a flat no. Because of the side effects.

Sigh... so close and yet so far...

Not bad. I finally managed to get a good nights sleep...only the first since I got my last Prolia shot so I was thrilled. I'm starting to weigh the side effects with the benefits of this drug now and plan to talk it over with my Doc when I see him in a little over a week.

How about you? Besides the steroid buzz are you beating the crud that settled in?

Our big killer storm was very much a fizzle here. So it's just cold and cloudy. Pho for dinner tonight (it's that cold out; 35 high/23 low.) I should do yard work, but I'm leaning more towards housework...unless I heed that little voice that keeps insisting that Sunday is a day of rest. I will need to venture outside to collect eggs at some point, although it's iffy if the hens will produce when it's this cold out... Such fair-weather featherbrains!

I have started kitting up for a bracelet project... Kind of excited. I am going to keep a bare minimum for working with wire. I have ONe promised prject I NEED to finish and a new progect I want to do

I been CLEANING and packing.... AAAAChoooooo. but so worth it I can see the floor and the shelves that are right next to me... Found my Flourite point I Want to do something with that and my Selenite clensing and healing stone. Yeah its for me and Yeah I do healing... but any more only for myself.....

And the fluorite absorbs negative energy.... I am an energy sponge And it does me great proplems when I get around an energy vampire....

Please I rarely share this stuff. but Wanted to.

We had a warm spell up here for the last few days, but now the big storm in the Midwest is headed this way. Unfortunately, a mix of freezing rain, sleet, and snow is expected, rather than the skier’s preference!
Yep, we told DD2 to leave plenty of time to get to work in the morning. Smugg's is supposed to get sleet and freezing rain all day :sick And winds gusting to 30s and 40s from the SSE as well. Of course she doesn't know which wind direction shuts her lift down. My guess is that her's won't since it is on the lower mountain and faces northwest.

Spent 6 hours out in the woods today. I've now managed to create 2 widowmakers. Sure could use a logging winch. A logging wench would be useful as well, 2 people would make the work go a bit faster.

We have two widow makers back in our timber also, Bruce. Two 50 plus foot tall hickory trunks split at the ground with one falling to the south and the other to the north and each hung up in a nearby tree equally as tall. DH and I have walked around them a couple of times trying to figure out how to coax them onto the ground. I ask DH what he thinks, he just moans, shakes his head and walks away.

Yep, we need that wench/winch also so when you get your widow makers on the ground, pack them/it up and send it west, will ya? We could use their/its help also! LOL
