The Old Folks Home

You are a strong person Deb! I can only imagine how depressed I would be with that situation happening just as I was planning to move back.
I was crying alot. Eventually I tried to take mom to the store to get my mind off it. After she got out she started grilling me over the Shotgun and I couldnt answer her. and that started it all over again. She cursed and said "I was only curious" Typical mom.

by the time I got home I was barely holding it together. So out of curiosity I took my blood pressure.189/113 I called 911. By the time they got there my BP was up to 200/120 ish. I got a trip to the ER. I had forgotten to take my meds that morning. but usually my BP only goes up to 145 when that happens.

Took about half an hour no meds and my blood pressure was down to 169. They gave me my BP meds and sent me home. Quickest ER visit I have EVER had. 1 hour.

Last night I went on line with Angies List. and picked out two handy man listings. Formulating a plan for the rehab. While doing this I realized I have a game plan now. Going to get two quotes and start with cleaning up the glass and securing the house. And of course getting the police out to handle any squatters as well as file a report IF the gun is missing.

The gun was in a location that would not be suspected if someone was searching for it. Plain sight. on the top shelf of a wire rack in the bedroom. Trigger locked of course.

After securing the house I need a ground floor appartment for myself and there are two options. The Laundry room or the Art Studio. The Laundry room would be closest to activity and it is large enough. to put a day bed in there.. Heck the church had three bunk beds in there its the size of a one car garage. and has a lockable door.

The Art studio is bigger and It does have my bed in there. If its not trashed. Its on the other corner of the house. Longer walk from the car... Unlockable door. from the outside. providing the sliding glass door hasnt been broken out.

Any way each location is doable. I will need to set up a little kitchen. Microwave and toaster oven I can even set up my Berky water filter and fill it with a hose. Id need a potty so will do a composting toilet which is 5 gallon bucket and some sort of box with a toilet seat fastened to it. then another bucket full of shavings or peat moss.

So I think it will be the Laundry room now that I ponder it more.

For what its worth this is not a getaway house its where I want to live for the next thirty years.

You know where there are adults, there are nests full of babies...
I know! :hit

# 4 has been tossed into the snow on the rockpile north of the barn.
I'm pretty sure there are still at least 3 adults left. The one with the mark on it's left flank also has one just behind it's left foreleg. I saw it on the camera a couple of times and there were a few with 2 rats. I think I got a view of the left side of both of them in one video, no marks.

Yep, every year along with our real estate taxes.
What is the tax rate on personal property? And are you in the statewide 4.225% sales tax area or one of the areas with higher taxes? And what is the "per hundred" property tax rate?

My property tax rate is $2.47/100, our state sales tax is 6%, some towns have an additional 1% "options" tax. At least we don't have personal property tax.

Clothing (under $100) and food are not taxed but PREPARED food is. Rooms and meals rate is 9%. SNAP can't be used for a precooked chicken at the store but you can by junk food :( that makes NO sense to me!!

I did go back and edited the post but auto save must have left it stuck in Micros post

There wasn't a quoted post yet that I saw-- The save feature has gotten me before where I either started a post and stopped or thought I had posted. The when I went back later and replied to a post, the old saved reply was added to the new post.

We pay the 4.225%.

I have no idea what the other two are. I just write the checks, LOL.
