Happy Birthday! 59 is a great year....if only we could freeze it in amber and not have to face the big 6-0 the next year...kind of like when we all turned 29.

39 is where I’d rather be frozen. Especially if I could still be retired!

Sourland? 80? Really truly? Whowzers! I mean you don't write like you're a day over 49!

Yeah, tough decision but I have a lot of roosters who are just sitting on the roost bars taking up space. I'm not going to get rid of all of them. Hope to keep 6 and my tinies. My little SDW OEGBs are pets and make me laugh. Where else can you find a little rooster who gets so excited when you scratch his waddles that he squats and ummmmmm has his way with the nesting box lid. Worth the price of the feed he eats.

DH agreed that we could free range them with one of us standing guard with a rifle if push comes to shove. I have a plan to call the local MFA in the morning and find out what feed and pet food they have on hand. Give them an order, get a tally from them, give DH a check, he's going to run in and have them load it without ever having to go inside. I did warn him that he would wear a mask even if he was outside.

When he gets home, he will change clothes in the shop, come in to shower and I will wipe down the bags with bleach water before they come into the house.

My thoughts, Cap. All the cases in Missouri are south around St Louis and Springfield. But Iowa which is only 3 counties away, has their first community transmitted case reported.

My feed store is assuring everyone that they will have plenty of feed back in stock on Wed., and there is no shortage of supply. One of the bigger feed stores just recently shut down, due to the county widening the road, and they used eminent domain to take their land. Between that causing them to get a lot more new customers, and people double to quadrupling their usual purchase on feed, they ran out. They're assuring everyone that there will be plenty, when the trucks deliver on Wed.

Oh, yes, we see those sorts of temporary outages every time a hurricane threatens, don't we? At least during hurricane season you can sort of anticipate and plan accordingly; this kind of took us all by surprise.

That I don’t know. Never watched that.

Nor did I, actually. I do remember that there were "Who Shot JR" parties on the night of the season premier that was supposed to reveal the answer (college students don't need much of a reason to party, do they?)
