Our entire state is now on lockdown

Ours has been for two weeks!

You know I think ours has been at least that long but it is true we are home bodies probably why I enjoy being here so much

Here it has been about 1.5 weeks of reduced activity and as of today one week of total shut down. For the most part folks are behaving, Grocery stores are well stocked, and TSC has adequate feed. Parks are open and outdoor activity is fine as long as social distancing is followed.

They had close a few parks here as people where wall to wall there no brain engaged
to their safety so they close many popular areas up there even the state parks are closed now..

Good morning Old Folks. Our township park is open, and not heavily utilized. People are social distancing and not playing team sports. At the county park some were playing basketball so the courts have now been shut down. Park is still open for walking, jogging, dog walking.

Good morning everyone!

I have absolutely no idea what is going on in our town as I haven't been off our property in about 5 weeks.

I do know that the owner of the local lumber yard and hardware store is donating his time and truck to deliver groceries to us old folks and other high risk people in the area. He's a super nice guy and I'm not surprised to hear that he is doing it.

Here on our farm, I was outside yesterday doing something in the chicken pen and saw Amish cart roll down the road filled to the brim with young women. They had 4-5 stuffed into that little cart and they were all dressed in their Sunday go to meeting meaning that they were going to some social event.

I just signed to myself and thought, well that answers that question.

Sunny and still windy here. I'm super sore from being out all day yesterday and doing some heavier work but hi ho hi ho it's off to shovel dirt I go!

Sadly, some folks think God will heal them if they get sick.

Sure enough. The family (Amish) we bought our property from told us they have no science in school. They learn to speak 'English' Reading, writing, math, some history and geography. while they are in schools they are referred to as 'scholars' and graduate when they finish the 9th grade.

It breaks my heart to see such potential wasted. One of them could possibly cure cancer or the Covid virus if they had the education but alas, they believe you learn everything you need to know as far as education is concerned in 8 years. Everything else you learn from your mom and dad...who learned it from their mom and dad.

So far there hasn't been any reports of outbreaks in their community. I hope there isn't. It will truly be horrible if it happens.
